About Foundry Pig iron
Pig iron is delivered from the impact heater. The motivation behind an impact heater is to artificially diminish and physically convert iron oxides into fluid iron called “hot metal”. The impact heater is an immense, steel stack fixed with headstrong block, where iron metal, coke and limestone are dumped into the top, and preheated air is blown into the base. The crude materials expect 6 to 8 hours to drop to the base of the heater where they become the last result of fluid slag and fluid iron. These fluid items are depleted from the heater at ordinary interims. The sight-seeing that was blown into the base of the heater climbs to the top in 6 to 8 seconds subsequent to experiencing various concoction responses. When an impact heater is begun it will persistently keep running for four to ten years with just short stops to perform arranged maintenance.
